Quality & Safety

In the Yi Herbs, quality is at the heart of every choice we make. We select botanical formulas and plant extracts with an emphasis on purity, responsible sourcing and a documented testing process.

Chinese Medicine formulas are produced and packaged in Belgium, in a certified facility FSSC 22000, an internationally recognized food safety management system. The production process includes internal quality controls in Belgium, at stages such as the import, mixing, filling, tableting and packaging of plant extracts, herbs, minerals and herbal teas.

Batches of extracts are accompanied by quality analyses that include identification, heavy metal, mycotoxin, pesticide residue and microbiological load checks. The analyses are carried out in Phytax GmbH, a specialized laboratory in Switzerland, which is a certified GMP analysis laboratory and recognized under the German Ordinance on the Operation of Pharmacies as well as from the Swissmedic.

For the selected herbal extracts from India, we have corresponding technical documents and certificates of analysis, with controls on key quality parameters, such as identification, physicochemical characteristics, heavy metals, residual solvents and microbiological indicators.

For us, quality means responsible selection, control and transparency. Our goal is for every product at Yi Herbs to combine respect for tradition with modern quality and safety documentation.
